Founding Humble
In 2009, Treger met a recently homeless family. After securing housing she couldn't afford to furnish it. Treger and her friend Ana collected items by reaching out to friends, neighbors, and strangers. This led to the birth of Humble Design, filling a crucial gap in the system by directly donating to families in need.

Humble Design supports families in need by furnishing their homes as they transition out of homelessness into stable housing. Through our compassionate efforts, we create warm and welcoming environments, empowering families to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Individuals and families who are transitioning out of homelessness into stable housing are referred to us by partnering agencies, including shelters and human services organizations, who authorize and guide the referral process. There is no direct application process.

Clients either work with our partnering agencies who help them secure housing, or find it on their own. Having housing already secured is a requirement to be referred. We do not help or provide housing for the clients.
We love working with brands and individuals who are interested in engaging with their community in a meaningful way.
